It’s been a full year since I first started ranting here on MikeLehmann.com. A lot has happened in this past year, both in my life and in the lives of those around me. There has been much occurring around the world as well. The rants may have been fewer in the recent months in comparison to when I first started a year ago, and to those of you that come here on a daily basis, I apologize. Perhaps it’s because I got lazy or felt that I had ranted all that I could on certain topics. Or maybe it’s just because it got old to me and I wanted to find something else to do with my website. I’m always trying to think of new content for my website, and if you have any ideas, email me or post them in my message forum. I am currently trying to line up some guest commentators for MikeLehmann.com so hopefully as I get more people to contribute to my humble megabytes of online glory, the updates will come more often.
As many of you know I was asked last January, after merely one month of ranting on this website, to write for a local website, My Liquor License.com. Well, their website has since launched but I still am not writing for them. And to be honest, I have no idea why. They simply broke off contact with me. I emailed my contact at My Liquor License a month or two ago asking once again if I was going to get the chance to write for them, but no one ever got back to me, so it appears as though that opportunity has past. But just having someone notice my writing and offering me a job meant a lot, even though that job never materialized.
The world has also gone through a great deal since I first started. Our troops went to war in Iraq, liberating a people that have never known the taste of freedom until just this year. I did many rants on that topic about a year ago. The democratic contenders for loosing to President Bush next fall are starting to make themselves known on a national level. I’ll surely do some commentary on that subject in the upcoming months.
This wasn’t meant to be a review of the past year, if it had been, this would’ve been a very long entry. I just wanted to point out that this is something that I enjoy doing, and have now for one full year. No one knows what will happen in the upcoming years, but hopefully I’ll continue ranting and rambling on this website or another. And finally, I’d like to say thank you to those of you that come here every so often to read what I have to say. If I thought no one was reading what I had so say, I don’t think I’d say it. So keep coming back and tell your friends all about me. And if you want, you can even send me some money, this site isn’t free you know! Once again, Thanks.
